How Plumticket actually works.
The mechanics, end to end. How you set up, how buyers buy, how you get paid, how the rebate flows to you.
Step by step.
You apply. We review.
You submit your application: email, password, organization name. We review applications within 48 hours. Approval gets you full access to the platform, including the ability to publish paid events.
You connect your bank account and publish.
Connect your bank account through Stripe to receive payouts. Then publish your event and start selling.
Buyers pay.
Through Stripe. Funds land directly into your bank account.
Plumticket charges $0.75.
A flat fee per ticket, paid by the buyer, not by you.
Stripe charges processing.
Stripe’s standard rate of $0.30 + 2.9% per transaction, also paid by the buyer.
You earn the rebate.
$0.20 back per paid ticket, paid at the end of each month.
How the rebate is paid.
The rebate is paid out monthly. You’ll see the exact amount you’ve earned on your dashboard whenever you log in.
There are no minimums, no thresholds, no paperwork, no manual claims. If you sold 650 paid tickets in a month, you’ll receive $130. If you sold 20,000 paid tickets in a month, you’ll receive $4,000.
Frequently asked questions.
Is there a contract?
No. Stop using Plumticket and there's nothing to terminate.
Are there monthly fees?
No. The only fee is the per-ticket platform fee, charged to the buyer.
Why do I have to apply?
We review every signup to verify the organization. This protects ticket buyers and the platform from fraud. We are also being careful not to grow too quickly so our clients have the best experience possible. We will look at your website and various other items. Most applications are reviewed within 48 hours.
Can I use my own payment processor?
No. Because our mission is low cost and efficiency, Plumticket uses one payment system: Stripe Connect. You connect your bank account to Stripe, and funds land directly in your account.
What happens if I need to refund a buyer?
You refund directly from your Stripe dashboard, and cancel the ticket in Plumticket. The Plumticket platform fee on that ticket is reversed. The Stripe processing fee is not reversed. The rebate for that ticket isn't paid.
Can I customize the look of my ticket page?
Yes. You set your brand colors, logo, and event imagery, applied to all buyer-facing pages.
Can I sell tickets in multiple currencies?
Currently USD only. Other currencies are on the roadmap.
Do you support subscriptions, flex passes, or classes?
No. Back to our mission of efficiency and low cost, Plumticket doesn't include functions that many clients don't need. Our sister company, TicketPeak, supports all of those and much more.
